WMC - Flower 'Lovely Lily'

I won the monthly contest, \o/ I am now disabling comments again since the contest is over, thank you to those who did comment.

This is for Monthly Challenge.

The Theme was flower.

I never quite understood why I became so attached to the name Lilyia, but when I saw this theme I was like hey I will draw Lily with a lily. But then when I started looking at references for flowers a light bulb went off. In high school I drew myself with my hands turning into a flower for my AP art series, ironically enough it was a stylized lily.

And then it just all clicked for me. I decided I wanted to redraw this old image as the character who has become a very much apart of me and that I love, Lilyia (In drae form of course). I fixed the errors I had made in high school in terms of my face and made the flower more realistic and based off a star gazer Lily. But I used light splashes of color to bring the flower out more that are in tune with an offhand in-game called the Stratholme Lily aka a blue lily. Although it looks more purple after changing opacity and layer styles :s

Any who I enjoyed working on it while my cake cutting sculptures were baking and cooling off. And I know its not an original idea but I like it and it means something to me. And I can really see how far I have come in drawing in the past 10 years.

The drawing was done with Mechanical Pencil, scaned in with white, blue, purple, yellow and green washes of color done in photoshop.
